FOX is launching nearly all of its fall 2018 series in the first week of the season. The two exceptions will air following Sunday NFL doubleheaders in the weeks prior to the official start of the 2018-19 year.

The two early starts go to new comedy “Rel” and second-year drama “9-1-1.” “Rel” will debut at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, Sept. 9, immediately following the network’s NFL coverage in all time zones. The NFL will presumably deliver a large audience to the comedy, but the show will then disappear until its time-period premiere Sept. 30.

The Season 2 debut of “9-1-1” will air after an NFL doubleheader Sunday, Sept. 23 and move to its regular home the next night.
